Proceed With Caution: Before following the below mentioned guide do take the complete backup of your device. We recommend you to try out nandroid backup. In order to install this ROM, you must have an unlocked bootloader with a custom recovery installed. Follow this guide to Unlock Bootloader of Your Nexus Devices.
Install CyanogenMod 11S on Nexus 5
Step (2): Now connect your nexus device to your computer with the USB cable and simply move the downloaded ZIP file on your nexus SD card.
Step (3): After that switch off your Nexus 5 and boot it in Recovery mode.
Step (4): From the recovery mode Wipe System, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik-Cache and Wipe Data (this is for only in new installations). For all those who are using the custom ROM they will haven't to follow this step.
Step (5): Next from the Install option, install the ROM .zip file on your nexus device.
Step (6): After that wait for few seconds till complete the installation process. When the installation is completed, simply reboot your nexus 5.
Congratulation! Now your nexus 5 device is running on the CyanogenMod 11S.
